Bereavement Team
The Bereavement Team offers support in time of a death assisting in all phases brought on by the loss of a loved one. This could include planning funeral services, being present during services and following up with those in grief. The Bereavement Team is committed to making sure those not able to attend Mass receive Holy Communion; provide care and contact to our sick and shut-in; arranging for the Sacrament of Anointing of the Sick upon request and sponsoring an annual Anointing Service in church. The Bereavement Team partners with our Regional Parishes of St. John Vianney, St. Margaret of Cortona and St. Cecilia to combine, assist and participate in various services. We care by doing, and in doing we care.

Ecumenical Effort

Health Ministry Committee
The Health Ministry Committee was formed in the spring of 2006, replacing the Health and Wellness Committee which functioned at St. Anthony's for a number of years. The goals of the committee are to promote physical, emotional, and spiritual well being, and provide health information to the parishioners of St. Anthony's.

Madison Villa
In the late 1960's four church congregations in Madisonville saw a need for housing for low-income elderly and low-income people with disabilities. Thus in 1971 the first housing complex in the Madisonville area specifically for these individuals was constructed. The four churches remain active in the Madison Villa operation and mission, collectively contributing 12 board members to the 16-member board. Each of the pastors also serves on the board. For more information click here to go to Madison Villa's website on SeniorsGuideOnline.

MEAC
Madisonville Education and AssistanceCenter was created to provide vital assistance mainly in the Madisonville area (zip code 45227) so that the residents in need become self-sufficient - one household at a time. MEAC is located in Eastminster Presbyterian Church at the corner of Roe and Erie Streets, in the Church's lower area. For more information, contact Ms. Dorcas Jackson at (513) 271-5501 or meac.dorcas@fuse.net or click here.

PMAAC Revival

Sweet, Sweet Spirit
This concert is the highlight of St. Anthony's Black History Month Celebration. Sweet, Sweet Spirit was started about 16 years ago by a long standing parishioner, Juanita Jefferies, who had a vision for a celebration with our neighboring churches. The program has included choirs, poets, storytellers and dancers. It has grown into a much appreciated community event that is free to the public. Each year the Multi-Cultural Committee (which sponsors the program) picks an organization that helps the unfortunate and donates the proceeds of the offering. Over the past years support has be given to the MLK Coalition, City Gospel Mission, MEAC (Madisonville Education and AssistanceCenter). Sweet, Sweet Spirit not only entertains but also gives back to the community.
Contact: Ken Brand, Chairman at (513) 541-0793 or kbrand@cinci.rr.com.

Swim Party
Our Annual Parish Pool Party is held at the MadisonvilleRecreationCenter. This event is organized by the Community Building Team and is open to Parish members and their family and friends. It really is a fun, casual event that allows folks to chat, play, swim and meet new people. We give out raffle tickets to win gift certificates to various restaurants and retail stores. This is an event that we intend to continue each summer.
