150th ANNIVERSARY
The spirit moves within us…plans are in the works for St. Anthony’s 150th Anniversary Celebration beginning May 2008 through October 2009.
The significance of the dates….in May 1858 the first Mass was held in a private home in Madisonville, and in October 1859 the first church building was dedicated.
Co-chairs Sherrie Mathis and Margaret Del Favero, along with Sr. Carol Leveque, John Bange, Dave Kappesser, Sallie Jones, and Gloria Parker, to name a few, have selected events with the following criteria in mind: 1) they tie in with current Parish activities and philosophy, and/or 2) offer a new opportunity for parishioners to interact with each other as well as other parishes’ parishioners.
Events being planned and their Coordinators
Some of the diverse activities (with coordinators in parenthesis) include:
-
Creation of a Parish Logo
-
